Privacy Policy
This page explains what information the Beamrush app collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: Beamrush counts how the game is used so we can fix and improve it, and it shows ads from Google AdMob. It does not ask for your name, email or location. The ads are non-personalized, and the app does not ask to track you.
Who this applies to
Beamrush is made for people age 13 and older. It is not for children, and it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us (see the bottom of this page) and we will help.
What the app collects
Beamrush uses two outside services, both provided by Google. Nothing else in the app sends information off your phone.
Firebase Analytics records:
- App activity: when the app is opened for the first time, when a session starts, when the app is updated, and which screen is being shown (for example, the home screen).
- A random install ID: Firebase gives each installation of the app a random identifier. It is not your name, your email or your Apple ID, and it is not the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- Basic device details: phone model, iOS version, app version and language.
- A rough region: Google works out your approximate country, region and city from your network (IP) address. The app never asks your phone for your location and cannot see where you are.
Google AdMob shows the ads in the game. It records:
- Which ads were shown, taps on ads, and video views.
- An identifier that is not tied to your name (it is not the advertising identifier, because the app never asks for permission to use it).
- Crash and speed information about the ads.
- A rough region, worked out from your network (IP) address.
Ads
The ads in Beamrush are non-personalized. That means they are not chosen from a profile of your interests. They can still depend on things like the language and the general region of your phone.
The app does not show Apple's tracking permission prompt, because it does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is requested. You can change that choice later in Settings, in the row called "Ad privacy choices". The row appears where the law asks for it.
How this maps to Apple's privacy labels
On the App Store, Beamrush declares the following. None of it is used for tracking.
| Apple data type | What it means here | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Device ID | The random per-install ID, and the ad tool's identifier | Analytics, advertising |
| Product Interaction | App opens, screens viewed, ad taps and video views | Analytics, advertising |
| Coarse Location | Approximate region worked out from the network address | Analytics, advertising |
| Advertising Data | Which ads were shown | Advertising, analytics |
| Performance Data | Speed and loading information | Analytics, advertising |
| Crash Data | Crash reports | App functionality |
Everything above except crash data is linked to your device through the identifiers described on this page. Crash data is not.
What we use it for
We use this information to understand how many people use the game, which screens they reach, and which devices and iOS versions we need to support, to find problems and decide what to improve, and to show ads.
What we do not do
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- We do show ads from Google AdMob. They are non-personalized.
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and the app does not show Apple's tracking permission prompt.
- We do not use analytics events for Google's ad personalization. That setting is turned off in the app.
Who else sees it
Google receives the analytics and advertising information described above, as our service provider, under Google's Privacy Policy, Firebase's privacy information, and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. We do not share it with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Analytics data is kept only as long as it is useful for understanding how the game is used, and in line with the retention settings in our Firebase project. Google keeps ad data under its own policies.
Your choices and deleting your data
Beamrush has no accounts or sign-in, so there is no account to delete. The only information tied to you is the random identifiers described above.
- Start fresh: deleting the app from your phone stops all collection. If you install it again, it gets new random identifiers that are not connected to the old ones.
- Ad choices: in the EU, UK and Switzerland you can change your consent in Settings, row "Ad privacy choices".
- Ask us to delete: email us and we will ask Google to delete the analytics data tied to your install. Because the identifiers are random, we may need you to send us what you can find about your install, and we may not be able to identify it. We will tell you either way.
Security
Information sent from the app to Google travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Changes to this policy
If Beamrush changes what it collects, for example by adding purchases, sign-in or personalized ads, we will update this page before the new version of the app is released and change the effective date above.
